Myths, Conspiracies, Aliens & Time Travel

By Simeon Ben

At some point in the beginnings of human history (trust me), a man looked up from the evening fire to the night sky filled with twinkling stars, a silver moon, and squawking flocks of westward-bound pterodactyls and thought, “What’s it all mean?” With burning questions in his heart and a piece of charcoal in his enormous hairy hand, he set to work on an ideal piece of cave wall in his living room (next to his prized hunting album) drawing spirits, gods, devils and monsters to fill the troublesome gaps in his understanding of the world.

Today, as science categorizes more and more of the mysteries of the world as particle, wave, and chemical phenomena, it would seem that the era of myth being the primary means of describing reality is dead.  Happily, I’m here to inform that myth is very much alive, thriving really, on the walls of the Internet in the form of conspiracy. And, as science advances, the stories have become more strange and more fantastic rather than fizzling into obscurity.

So suspend your disbelief, open your mind-chakra, prime your pineal gland, and take a trip into the vivid imagination of the collective human mind. Below you’ll find a few of the more outrageous myths, conspiracies, or, perhaps, true-stories to get you started. Feel free to post your own favorites in the comment section.
